Temperament Tests or Meet & Greets are helpful for boarding and daycare facilities to ensure the safety and comfort of all pets. These assessments help staff understand each pet's personality, behavior around other animals, and response to new environments. By identifying potential triggers or stressors, facilities can create personalized care plans and reduce the risk of conflicts, ensuring a positive experience for everyone.
Configuring Temperament Test Requirements
Go to Configuration Settings
Go to the Temperament Test Module (this can be renamed to what your facility specifically calls this)
Review the "Apply to offers" tab
Enable/disable the offers you would like to set a temperament test restriction on
Booking as a Pet Parent
Booking from the Admin Portal
As a Stand Alone booking
Click "New Booking" in the upper left corner
Select "Meet & Greet" as a service type
Enter the pet information
If it is a returning customer that has a new pet, search that customer and select their profile.
Click Add Pet and enter the pet information
If it is a net new customer select "Make a New Customer Reservation"
Enter the pet information
Open the Meet & Greet Date drawer and select a date and time for the reservation
Update any of the Pet Owner information
Click Continue and Collect payment or select "collect payment in person" to allow that customer to pay at the facility
As part of the booking flow for another service
Click "New Booking" in the upper left corner
Select the primary service (boarding, daycare)
Enter the pet information
If it is a returning customer that has a new pet, search that customer and select their profile.
Click Add Pet and enter the pet information
If it is a net new customer select "Make a New Customer Reservation"
Enter the pet information
If the offer requires a temperament test and the pet has not passed
You'll be presented with the option to move to scheduling a temperament test OR
You'll be given the option to override the temperament test option
Updating a Temperament Test Status
Once a pet comes in to the facility you will be able to update the temperament test status in that pet profile.
There are two status active statuses you can switch it to once the pet has finished the Meet & Greet:
Passed - They will be able to book reservations online without having to book a Meet & Greet
Failed - They will not be able to book reservations online for the offers that require a temperament test
To update the status:
Open the invoice
Click on the pet name to open the drawer
Scroll to the bottom
Update the Meet & Greet status
Click Save
