Saving a credit card on a customer's account

Once you've connected your Square and/or Stripe account, you will have the ability to store customer's credit cards on file for future use. This can be done on both the desktop and mobile app.

First, let's take a look at adding at adding a credit card from the customer's account on the desktop:

  1. Make sure you are connected with Stripe or Square. If you are not, you can reference the the articles linked above for additional instructions.

  2. Open a customer's account

  3. Click 'Edit Customer'

  4. Scroll down until you see the options to add a credit card using Stripe or Square.

5. Then, enter the credit card details and click 'Save'.


You can also add a credit card on file when adding a payment to an invoice as well:

  1. Open an invoice

  2. Click Add Payment

  3. Select Stripe or Square

  4. Then, you can Add Card to Account or Use a Different Card.


Now, let's look at how you can add a credit card on file from the mobile app.

Please note that you can only add a credit card on file from the mobile app using Stripe. Adding credit cards on file using Square will need to be done from the desktop.

You will have the ability to add a credit card using Stripe from inside an active job or from a customer's account.

To add a credit card using Stripe from inside a job:

  1. Open an active job on your calendar

  2. Click the menu icon to the right of 'Stripe: Add a card to this account'

  3. Click 'Add Card on File'

To add a credit card on file using Stripe from a customer's account:

  1. Open the customer's account

  2. Click the menu icon to the right of 'Stripe: Add a card to this account'

  3. Click 'Add Card on File'
