If you're thinking of setting up another instance of Shopify, or expanding into another region, then most brands usually default to setting up another Shopify instance - the problem with doing this, is that usually, you're doubling your workload when it comes to operating another website.

With Roadmap, you have a range of options that will avoid you having to do this.

If you wanted to do any of the following configurations - then this can all be achieved with Roadmap and a single Shopify instance:

  • Hide/show different products in different countries.

  • Location based content - changing per country / region.

  • Different tracking codes for different countries / region.

  • Different pricing for products across countries / region (can be done with Shopify markets).

Settling in different currencies

One of the biggest reasons you may want to have another Shopify instance setup to is so that any payments from Shopify to settle in the local currency which is different from your current store. A Shopify instance can only settle in a single currency, so if you wanted to receive USD for US sales, and then NZD for NZ sales, then you would need 2 different Shopify instances.

If you proceed down this path, then there will be certain tasks that will need to be performed in order to ensure that your new instance is setup correctly - we can help you with this process - just contact us directly and we can plan this out with you and guide you through the process.
