Post-Review Flow: How to set up a discount automation for leaving a review (And create a Klaviyo trigger!)

If your review setup includes a discount reward, we will need to create a discount code automation and a Klaviyo metric that will house the event property to be used for the post-review flow.

  1. Head to the Discounts / GWPs section to create your discount

  2. Click Create a new discount to start building an incentive for your customers.

  3. Choose Discount Code Generator

  4. Set the trigger to 'When review is published'

  5. Select 'percentage' or '$ amount off'

  6. Add your desired discount amount

  7. Add a code prefix (Optional)

  8. Select the products, variants, or collections your discount will apply to. (Leave blank to apply to all products)

  9. Adjust purchase type if you want the discount to apply to one-time purchases, subscriptions or both.

  10. Add a minimum spend (Optional)

  11. Limit the number of items eligible for the discount (Optional)

  12. You also have the option to restrict the offer to loyalty members and tiers.

  13. Select 'Trigger a Klaviyo event' to create a trigger for seamless Klaviyo integration

  14. Enter the Klaviyo metric name that will appear in Klaviyo

  15. Click 'Save' to create the discount and Klaviyo trigger

  16. In Klaviyo, to see your new metric, select 'Analytics'

  17. Select 'Metrics'

  18. You will see that your metric for the post-review flow is now ready to use.

  19. We are now ready to create our flow.

  20. Select 'create flow'

  21. Select 'Build your own' for complete control

  22. Name your flow

  23. Select 'Your metrics' to choose your new Roadmap trigger

  24. All Roadmap triggers are available inside the API tab

  25. Choose your new trigger 'Roadmap: 10% Review Trigger'

  26. Click 'save' to lock in your trigger

  27. Congrats, You are now ready to build out your flow!
