Finding it difficult staying organized and keeping track of talent pipelines in your ATS or spreadsheets? That's where tags in Grayscale can come in handy!

While you're texting with candidates, you can tag them with important keywords to keep them organized for later reference.

For example, let's say you're always looking for great Account Executives, regardless of whether you have a req open or not. You can create a tag for 'AE Pipeline' to start pipelining these candidates.

Then whenever you talk with a new AE candidate, you can just apply that tag for easy reference in the future. When it comes time to fill a new AE req, you can filter by the tag 'AE Pipeline' and pull up your pool of candidates.

And from there, you can seamlessly send a personalized message to each up them using our 'Bulk Messaging' functionality.

Adding tags to candidates

You'll need to sign into the desktop app instead of the Chrome extension for this. Go to https://app.gograyscale.com/ and follow the steps below!

  1. Go into the Talent Pool

  2. Find the candidate you want to tag

  3. Click on the candidate to open the candidate details on the right-side of the page

Searching for candidates by tag

  1. Go into the Talent Pool

  2. Select Filters

    1. If using the Chrome extension, select Custom Filter

  3. Change the filter to Tagged

  4. Select the tag you want to search for

That's it! From there, you can add candidates to a list and send a Bulk Message.

Let the Tagging Begin!

At Grayscale, we use tags a bit liberally.

For example, for a software developer, I'll tag a candidate with 'Javascript', 'React', 'RoR', 'Fullstack' and any other criteria I may want to sort by later on.

You can filter by multiple tags at the same time, so the more tags the better.

For example, I could search by candidates that are tagged 'Account Executive' and 'Senior' to pull up all senior level account executive.

So what are you waiting for? Tag away!
