When you're in a competitive market, the experience you give candidates goes a long way. Especially when you're trying to hire fast. ⏱

This helpful automation will ensure a quick follow-up with candidates right after their interview has wrapped.

How to set up the 'post-interview follow-up' Automation

To build an automation, navigate to Automations and click 'New'.

First, specify if you want this Automation will run on 'All Jobs' or a specific job.

Next, you'll want the Event to be set to 'Interview Scheduled'.

Note for Greenhouse customers: Don't see 'Interview Scheduled' as an option? You need to enable 'Scheduled Interviews' as a permission for your Greenhouse API key. Setup instructions can be found here.

In the example below, I'm selecting 'Face to Face' as my stage.

Note: Be sure to select a 'Stage' option. This prevents you from accidentally triggering an automated follow up right after a phone screen you conduct.

From there, you can select when you want your follow up message to go out:

  • After interview completed (sent 1 hour after interview is scheduled to end)

  • 1 day after interview (sent following day between 7-8am)

  • 2 days after interview

In the example below, I want my follow up message go out after the interview has been completed.

Finally, you'll want to set replies to be assigned to you, so you get notified as candidates follow up with feedback.

That's it! Hit 'Save' and you're ready to start automating your follow up.
