How to Add and Manage Milestones on Your Public Profile

Add and manage accomplishments and commitments to keep visitors informed about your organization's sustainability progress

What are milestones?

Milestones include two types of entries:

  • Accomplishments highlight certifications, awards, or other achievements your organization has already earned.

  • Commitments describe sustainability goals your organization is working toward.

Make your milestones meaningful

Milestones help visitors understand your organization's sustainability journey beyond your Green Business Benchmark° certification.

By adding Accomplishments and Commitments, you can highlight both your progress and what's next.

Consider adding milestones such as:

  • External certifications and recognitions – Showcase achievements such as an EcoVadis rating, B Corp certification, ISO certifications, or other third-party recognitions.

  • Sustainability reports and major accomplishments – Highlight published sustainability reports, awards, completed initiatives, or other significant achievements that demonstrate your organization's progress.

  • JouleBug° activities and achievements – Share completed challenges, ongoing actions, or other milestones from JouleBug° that demonstrate how your organization is putting sustainability goals into practice.

  • Future commitments – Publish commitments that communicate the sustainability goals, initiatives, or programs your organization is actively working toward.

Tip: Keep your milestones up to date so your public profile reflects your organization's current sustainability progress and provides visitors with an accurate view of your achievements and future goals.

Note: Only milestones with a Published status appear on the public profile. Draft milestones remain available for editing but are not publicly displayed.

Who this is for

Before you begin

To complete this task, you’ll need:
