Keep your public profile accurate and useful
Your Green Business Benchmark° public profile is a shareable page that summarizes your organization’s sustainability progress. In this guide, you’ll learn what the profile communicates, how the GBB° Seal connects visitors to it, and how to update the profile information you control.
Why your public profile matters
A complete public profile gives customers, partners, employees, and other visitors a single place to understand your organization’s current sustainability work. Depending on the information available for your account, the profile may show:
Your GBB° certification level and points
Completed initiatives and recent milestones
An About section and sustainability mission
Public contact details, website, social links, and location
Accomplishments, such as external certifications, awards, or a published sustainability report
Commitments that explain what your organization plans to work toward next
Keep it accurate. Use the profile as a current summary of your organization’s progress. Publish only information your organization is prepared to share publicly. |
How the Seal and public profile work together
The GBB° Seal provides a recognizable certification marker that can be displayed on your website and other approved materials. When the Seal links to your public profile, visitors can move from the certification marker to supporting information about your organization’s certification, points, initiatives, accomplishments, and commitments.
Before you begin
To update the profile, you’ll need:

Permission to access and edit your organization’s profile
Approved public-facing content for the About and Mission sections
Any public contact details, website, social links, or location information you want to display
A JPEG or PNG cover image no larger than 5 MB, if you plan to replace the current image

External certifications or recognitions, such as an EcoVadis rating or B Corp certification
Your organization's sustainability reports or other significant accomplishments
Results from a recently completed JouleBug Sustainability Challenge that show your team turning initiatives and goals into everyday practice
Commitments that explain the next goals or initiatives your organization is working toward
Note: Add and manage these entries from the Milestones area. Click here to
Keep accomplishments factual and describe commitments clearly so visitors can distinguish completed work from future goals.
