The Events tab in the GreenCast Connect app offers a detailed overview of daily turf management alerts, including high or low moisture levels, extreme weather updates, and pest warnings.

1. Navigating the Events Tab

  • Date Navigation:

    • The current date is displayed at the top of the screen.

    • Click through previous days to view events for specific dates.


2. Viewing Daily Events

Each day’s events are listed in chronological order and may include the following based on user preference:

  • Sensor Data:

    • Notifications when moisture, salinity and temperature levels exceed or fall below set thresholds.

  • Weather Alerts:

    • Important weather updates such as heavy rain or high humidity.

  • Pest Alerts:

    • Moderate or higher pest warnings to help mitigate turf damage.

  • Growth Potential Updates:

    • Temperature and environmental factors to indicate the likelihood of turf growth.

  • GDD (Growing Degree Days)

    • Information on optimal growth conditions based on GDD.

  • Notes:

    • User-added notes documenting observations, tasks, or reminders for the day.

New Event Notifications:

  • Events with new alerts are marked with a red dot.

  • A red dot with a number at the bottom of the screen indicates the total number of new, unread events.


3. Filtering Events

To customize the events you see:

  • Tap the funnel icon at the top-right corner.

  • Use the filter options to display only specific types of events:

    • Pest Risk

    • GDD (Growing Degree Days)

    • Weather

    • Growth Potential

    • Sensor Data

    • Notes

  • Apply the filter by selecting the desired categories and selecting Apply Filter.

  • Reset filter events by selecting the reset button on the top right of the Filter Events page.


4. Clearing Notifications

To manage unread events:

  • To clear a specific notification, swipe the alert to the right.

    • This action will remove only that particular notification without affecting the rest.

  • To clear all notifications tap the eraser icon at the top-right corner.

    • Choose between:

      • Clear All Unread Notifications: Marks all events as read.

      • Keep All Unread: Retains the unread status of events.


5. Adding Notes

Users can document observations directly within the Events tab:

  • Tap the plus (+) button at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

  • Add a note by typing relevant information.

  • Attach a photo to provide visual context for the note.

  • Save the note, which will be logged as an event for that day.
