Tailgate Talks are short skills training or safety talks that a member of your crew hosts with their team. Pick a talk from the library, assign it to a host, and the host reviews the content with their team.
What Tailgate Talks are
A library of ready-made talks. Each talk covers one topic and is grouped by category.
Short and in person. A talk is meant to be reviewed out loud with the team, not completed alone on a phone.
Led by a host. The host is one of your crew members. You choose who.
Each talk includes:
Why this matters: why the topic is worth a few minutes.
What the host will cover: a summary of the talk.
What the host will need: anything to have on hand.
Talking points: the points the host walks the team through.
š” Think of a talk as an outline to guide the host in an engaging conversation with their crew.

ā ļø Hosts must be crew members. Admins don't appear in the list.
š” Assign the same talk to more than one host if you have several crews. Each host gets their own copy.
What if someone already has it? If a person already has that talk assigned, Greenius skips them and tells you who. Nobody gets assigned twice.
What happens next
The host is notified. They get a message that says "You have a tailgate talk to host," with the talk's title. Hosts who haven't signed in yet get a text message with a link to Greenius.
āThe host opens the talk in the Greenius app. It appears in their training as a Tailgate talk.
āThe host reviews the content with their team. The app shows Why this matters, What you'll cover, What you'll need and the Talking points. When they're ready, the host taps Start tailgate talk and goes through the talking points one at a time.
āThe host takes attendance. At the end they tap Take attendance, mark who was there, and save. The talk then shows as Completed.

See Tailgate Talks in reports
Tailgate Talks show up in the Training Report alongside your courses.
When you assign a talk, the host appears in the report right away with the talk's title, an Assigned date, and a status of Not started.
When the host completes the talk, the status changes to Completed and the Completed date fills in.
To focus on talks, open the Training Report and set the content filter to Tailgate Talks. You can also use All tailgate talks to pick specific talks.
You'll also see a host's talks, with the same Not started and Completed statuses, on their employee page.
Troubleshooting
I don't see Tailgate Talks in the left menu. Tailgate Talks may not be turned on for your organization yet. Contact Granum Support.
I can't find someone in the Assign host list. Only active crew members can host. Admins, deactivated and archived employees aren't listed.
The host says they didn't get a notification. Ask them to open the Greenius app. The talk will be waiting under their training.
A host says the talk is no longer assigned to them. The assignment may have been removed. Assign it again from the library.
