1. Visualize trajectories
A trajectory represents the potential reductions made possible by the actions selected. It's a graph that shows whether or not the objective has been reached. Let's take a look at the page options:
Objective (box 1): selects the target with which you wish to compare the effects of the scenario's actions
ex: view “All scopes with growth” objectiveScenario (box 2): selects the scenario to be displayed in the graph
ex: display “focus vehicles” scenarioObjective completion (box 3): this is the result of the scenario and the objective! The percentage (here -46%) represents the emission reduction. It needs to be compared with the target above (-30%).
ex: shows whether the “focus vehicles” scenario meets the “All scopes with growth” objectiveObjective completion with projected growth (box 4): this is the result of the scenario and the objective, taking into account the emissions generated by the projected growth of the company! The percentage (here -20%) represents the target completion rate.
Chart type (box 5): to select the view to be displayed. The options are :
Reduction by action
Reduction by year
Emissions per year
Nb: only the Reduction per year and Emissions per year charts display the emissions generated by the projected growth. The Reduction per action doesn't take growth emissions into account. It allows an absolute view of each emission impact.
2. Adjust the trajectories
Under the graphs is a table summarizing the selected actions. It allows you to :
understand the impact of actions in the “Details” section
modify actions (start and end dates and tracking metrics) to adjust trajectories.
Time to finalize actions!
Once you've made your final choices, you can download the Climate Strategy report by clicking on “Download the report” at the very top of the page.
Congratulations, you've established your climate strategy! 🎉
