You can now tag your spend and activity data using the parameters Entity, Entity Country, and Business Unit. By assigning these tags, the distribution of your emissions along these parameters will automatically appear under My Emissions > Granular Audit View.

1. How to Add These Tags

There are three additional columns or parameters now available in:

  • All data collection templates: You can easily add the tags in allocated columns while uploading your data.

  • Direct activity input: When adding an activity directly on the platform within the activity modules, you will see the option to tag it with these 3 parameters.

Buildings and Employees

If you would like to see a breakdown of emissions specifically for your buildings and employees, please reach out to our support team, who can assist in setting this up for you.

Financial Data

For financial data, please note that only the list of expenses can process these tags through a template. This means that if you are using an API (accounting software), we invite you to reach out to our support team, who can assist in setting this up for you.

2. Customizing Tags for Your Company’s Needs

If the Entity, Entity Country, and Business Unit tags are not relevant to your company’s operations, you can still take advantage of our tagging system by customizing the tags to fit your specific needs.

For example:

  • Instead of using Entity, you can add a Client ID.

  • Instead of using Entity Country, you could input a State or Region.

  • Instead of Business Unit, you might prefer to track by Product ID or another relevant category.

This flexibility allows you to tag your data according to what makes the most sense for your business, while still taking advantage of the detailed emissions breakdown.

⚠️ Please note: The header names Entity, Entity Country, and Business Unit are fixed and cannot be changed on the platform. If you plan to use these tags for other data types (e.g., Client ID, State, Product ID, etc.), please be sure to keep track of how you're repurposing these tags internally for your own reporting and management.
