If a student's wallet balance was refunded automatically but needs to be sent back to the original payment method, you can now do so easily through the Groovio platform. This process helps resolve common refund issues while maintaining accurate transaction records.
How to Refund Wallet Balance to a Card
Locate the Parent Transaction
Go to Transaction History in the student's profile.
Adjust the date range at the top of the page to locate the parent transaction associated with the original payment.
Find the Refund Button
Once you identify the parent transaction, look for the refund icon next to it.
This button will allow you to process a refund directly to the original payment method.
Process the Refund
Select the refund option to return the amount to the original payment method.
Confirm the refund details before processing the transaction.
Prevent Duplicate Refunds
If the student already received a wallet refund, debit that amount from their Wallet Balance using the "Withdraw Money" option.
This ensures the student doesn't receive duplicate refunds while keeping records accurate.
This gives you full control over wallet transactions and ensures refunds are processed correctly.
Remember that the refund button is only available when the relevant transaction is identified in the history, so always review the transaction history thoroughly to locate the parent transaction.
