General settings for your property, including those related to your address, language, region, and the appearance of your Concierge.

This article covers the general settings for your property, including those related to your address, language, region, and the appearance of your Concierge.


General settings

General

To update your general settings, go to Settings > General.

Your general settings feature the following:

  • Name — your property's name.

  • Address — your property address.

  • Facebook Page — the URL of your property’s Facebook Page. (This setting needs to be configured if you have activated the Concierge’s Chat function).

  • Webpage — the URL of your property's customer-facing website.

  • Phone number — your property’s phone number.

Address

To add your property’s address, enter it into the Address field in Settings > General > Address, then search for and select it.

Once completed, your property’s address will be displayed with a marker point on a Google map featured in Directions on your Concierge page.

Language and region

To update your property’s language and region settings, go to Settings > General > Language and region.

From here, you can update the following settings:

  • Date format — select the date format you want to use in your Concierge and any emails containing date data.

  • Time format — select the time format you want to use in your Concierge and any emails containing time data.

  • Time zone — select your property's time zone (a very important setting for sending scheduled emails).

  • Default currency — select your property’s default currency (only one).

  • Additional languages — tick the box next to any additional languages you want to use (enabling you to add custom translations, where applicable).

  • Default language — select your property’s default language. This is the language that guests will see if they are viewing your content in a language that is not currently active, or when their preferred language cannot be detected. (Learn more: How do I activate a new language in GuestJoy?)

Appearance

To change the appearance of your Concierge, go to Settings > General > Appearance and modify any of the following:

  • Concierge theme colour — select the main colour used in your Concierge, either by selecting a custom colour or adding a specific hex code.

  • Guest name — select how to address your guest when they view your upsell offers in Concierge: first name, last name, full name, or no name,

  • Custom default font — select your Concierge’s default font. (This will also determine the font used in your scheduled emails.)

  • Logo — upload your property's logo using the necessary image criteria.

  • Header image — upload a header image using the necessary image criteria: 1600x400 pixels, no text.
