A successful day often comes down to good structure. To help you with this, Habitify includes a "Time of Day" setting, a powerful organizational tool that groups your habits into Morning, Afternoon, and Evening.

This guide will walk you through what this feature is, how to use it, and how to customize it to perfectly match your personal schedule.

What is the 'Time of Day' Setting?

"Time of Day" is a label you can assign to any habit to sort it into one of three default periods. The primary benefit is to transform your daily habit list from a simple checklist into a structured plan for your entire day. This allows you to focus on your morning habits when you wake up, without being distracted by tasks for later in the day.

How to Set the Time of Day for a Habit

  1. When you create a new habit or edit an existing one, find the "Time of Day" setting.

  2. Tap on it and choose from the three options: Morning, Afternoon, or Evening.

  3. Save your habit. It will now be automatically filtered in the Time of Day area.

How to Customize Your Time Ranges

We know everyone's schedule is different. What's "morning" for one person might be "afternoon" for another. That's why you can customize what these time periods mean to you.

Within Settings of Habit

  1. When you create a new habit or edit an existing one, find the "Time of Day" setting.

  2. Tap on "Customize Time Ranges"

  3. Here, you can adjust the start times for your Morning, Afternoon, and Evening periods to perfectly match your daily rhythm.

From the Settings tab

  1. Go to the Settings tab in the Habitify app.

  2. Tap on General.

  3. Select "Time of Day".

  4. Here, you can adjust the start times for your Morning, Afternoon, and Evening periods to perfectly match your daily rhythm.

Important Notes

Is "Time of Day" the same as a reminder?

No. "Time of Day" is purely for organizing your list into sections. A Reminder is a specific push notification that alerts you at an exact time (e.g., 8:00 AM). You can have a "Morning" habit with a reminder set for 8:00 AM.

What if I don't assign a Time of Day to a habit?

There must be at least 1 Time of Day selected. You can choose all Time of Day so your habit appears all day long in the Time of Day area.
