Follow these steps to create an Estimate for your customer

Updated over 2 weeks ago

To get started, we recommend creating fees that align with your Estimate needs.

These fees need to be created as Non Sub-Item fees as they are invoice fees not work order fees. Pricing period = Instance.

Customer Profile -

It is up to your business if you wish to have one customer profile used for all Estimates; however we recommend a customer profile for each customer & estimate. This will ensure that when the customer agrees to the Estimate, the profile is already in existence.

To get started, once the profile is created, go directly to the Billing tab of the customer's profile & create a manual invoice.

With the invoice created, select the 3 dot menu option and select the Edit option.

Select Add

Locate your ESTIMATE fee in the drop down

Enter the estimated services in the notes and add value

SAVE

It is not recommended sending the "estimate" from the Hauler Hero system as this will update the Estimate to a real invoice.

It is recommended to download the Estimate and send to the customer from your company email. Once the customer has agreed to the services, you can leave the Estimate in drafts or delete. The services should then be applied to the customer's profile for the work to start.

Another option to ensure that you do not mistakenly send an invoice to your customer that is intended to be an estimate, is to have a Bill Profile created and used only for Estimates. This could be called "NO BILL" "Estimates Only" etc.
