When first getting started with Hauler Hero, it can be hard to know if you're "hitting all the bases" when creating a new customer.
On the 'New customer' page, you'll want to fill out the following:
Contact first & last name
This will populate in the contact details section of the account page.
NOTE: If a customer does NOT want to receive any emails, you will need to leave the email section blank. If you have their email and want to have it on file, simply enter that email address in the account notes section instead.
Billing profile
Select the proper profile from the drop down if not already populated.
Street address
Be sure to select the verified address from the list in the drop down so the latitude & longitude properly populate for routing & autocomplete purposes.
NOTE: If there are rural addresses that do not show in the address drop down, please reach out to your Implementation Manager or Support to walk you through the workflow.
Once the customer has been created and a service needs to be added, click the blue [+New service] button under the 'Services' section of the customer profile.
NOTE: Remember to toggle to 'On Request' for instance/on request services to appear in the list.
4. The cadence of the service must match the customer's billing profile cadence.
5. Price - confirm or enter the correct price for the customer.
NOTE: Changing the predetermined price on the customer's configured service will not change the service's global price.
6. Start date - work orders will be created based on the start date.
7. BILLING START DATE - When first getting started with Hauler Hero, it helps to have the work orders generated for routing (and testing) purposes without incurring a balance on the customer. To avoid incurring a balance on the customer, set the billing start date to the beginning of the next billing cycle you will be invoicing out of Hauler Hero.
Example: I'm a hauler and I signed up for Hauler Hero in November, but will not start running my business out of the system until January 1st. I will take November & December to enter my customers and services. That means the start date can be left as is, but I will set the billing start date as 1/1.
