What are business lines?

Business lines are a great way for you to organize and simplify the different sectors of your operations, mainly for reporting purposes. The most common business lines are the following:

  • Residential

  • Commercial

  • Roll Off

Attributes

Attributes are some of the most important foundational pieces for your Hauler Hero account. You will want to include anything and everything you offer from each business line. Once you've entered all of the relevant business attributes, you will be able to easily create and configure each of your business lines.

Services

In the service section, enter all pricing periods and service intervals you use for all customers.

Be sure to click the blue [Save] button in the bottom right corner before moving on.

  • Note: for the number 1, select the dash (-) from the drop down.

Measure

  • Add all container sizes that you offer your customers for residential, commercial, or roll off, etc...

Materials

Add all materials that your business collects, including any rarities.

  1. Click '+ Add Material'

  2. Color - Select whatever color you would like to associate with the material type

    1. Note: Once you've selected the color and saved, you will not be able to edit.

    2. These colors will appear on the pins of your route map

  3. Material - Enter the name and double check before saving as it cannot be edited once saved.

  4. Active - Toggle off to make the material inactive.

  5. Require Photo - If you would like your driver to be required to take a photo when they pick up, keep this toggled on. However, it is typically recommended to keep toggled off unless hazardous materials.

Actions

Click '+ Add Action', select the action type from the drop down.

  • Note: If you add all right away, you don't have to use all in your business lines, it will not cause any issues.

Methods

Simply click '+ Add Method' and select whatever methods your company uses.

  • Note: If you add all right away, you don't have to use all in your business lines, it will not cause any issues.

Create & Configure

  1. Once you've finished entering all the details of your business, click 'Create & Configure'.

  2. To add a new business line, click the [+ Add] button in the upper right corner.

  3. Enter the name of the business line (i.e. Residential) and select an icon from the dropdown on the left.

  4. Although all attributes will appear, only select those that are applicable to the business line you are creating (by checking the boxes to the left).
