New Add Customer Flow
New Add Customer Flow

This new flow is in addition to the current option

Updated over a year ago

In addition to the standard +New Customer flow, we now have a more simplified option.

Select the new blue + button in the upper right hand corner (this will display on any page within Hauler Hero).

When you click the blue new customer button, you will first be prompted to search a phone number. (this flow is designed to help quickly identified from their caller ID if the account already exists - including deactivated accounts)

**you can now enter the number and hit Enter / Return. You can also use your mouse to select the search button**

If the phone number entered matches to an existing profile (active or deactivated) the matches profiles will display to be selected.

If the phone number does not match to a user, you will be alerted and have the option to create a new customer.

After you select CREATE NEW, a new customer creation page will display.

  • The phone number is prefilled

  • The lat/long is optional

  • For those roll-off customers who don’t have exact address yet or mapbox can’t find the address because it’s a new street, then just type in the zipcode and move the pin to the correct place. That will then fill in the lat/long for you

  • Make sure to also fill in correct city/state/zip. There is a bug in mapbox that prevents autofill to work correctly. Please note this bug is not in our system, but the map system we use.

  • You can move the pin for the exact location

  • The customer name (typically business / account name) will auto copy to the Service Location name. The Service Location Name can be changed if it is not the same.

  • Mouse is not required during this process, we hope that the tab through option helps speed up the entry.

Select CREATE after entering the information and that is it. The billing address is populated with account contact and phone number.

After the customer has been created, you will need to add a billing profile.
