Advanced Settings

Define global default behavior and activate optional features for search, media, group versions, and user interaction within your headful project.

In the Advanced Settings section, you configure global settings for your headful project.

The settings are divided into two categories:

  • Default Settings

  • Extras

Default Settings define how new content behaves by default.
Extras activate additional functionality within the project.

Default Settings

These options determine the standard behavior for newly created content.

  • Pages searchable by default

    • New pages are automatically included in the search index.

    • If disabled, searchability must be activated manually for each page.

  • Media searchable by default

    • Newly uploaded media files are automatically indexed.

  • Media of type image indexed by default

    • Images are included in the search index by default.

  • Media of type video indexed by default

    • Videos are automatically indexed.

  • Media of type common indexed by default

    • General file types (e.g., documents) are indexed by default.

  • Enable news notifications by default

    • News notifications are automatically enabled for new news entries.

Extra functions

These options extend the functionality of your project.

Enable page version switching for users with access to multiple group versions

Allows users to switch between different group-based versions of a page if they are assigned to multiple groups.

If disabled, only one version is displayed.

Enable comments for pages

Activates the commenting function on pages.

Enable custom code component

Allows the use of a custom code component within pages.

Enable page feedback

Allows users to submit feedback on pages.

System Note

  • These settings apply project-wide.

  • Default Settings affect newly created content.

  • Extras activate additional system features.

  • Review changes carefully before applying them in a production environment.
