Page Settings in the Editor

Manage title, URL, access, visibility, and group assignment of a page centrally via the Page, Meta, and Groups tabs.

Updated over 2 months ago

The page settings define all structural and organizational properties of a page.
The settings are divided into three tabs:

All displayed information is prefilled when creating the page and can be adjusted at any time.

Page

Here you manage basic page information and the publication status.

Functions

  • Edit title and description
These can be changed at any time.
For public pages, avoid frequent changes, as search engines may delay updating displayed information.

  • Set custom date
You can define an individual publication date.

  • Define page image
The image is used for internal orientation in the page overview.

  • Override system email (if the feedback feature is enabled)
You can replace the system email defined in the dashboard for this specific page.

  • Edit attributes
If attributes are used, they can be adjusted here.

Danger Zone

  • Control searchability
Define whether the page appears in the search.

  • Unpublish
The page is no longer accessible to users but remains visible to editors.

  • Move to trash
Pages can be deleted and restored later (see Page Management/Overview).

  • Manage group versions
Individual group versions can also be unpublished or moved to trash.

Meta

Here you define URL, search behavior, and access settings.

Functions

  • Use custom URL
You can define an individual slug.
    Requirements:

    • The slug must not already exist within the project.

    • The slug should be short and clear.

    Example:
    project.headful.io/new-page

  • Keywords (Tags)
    Tags improve searchability.
Previously used tags are suggested automatically.

All tags can be found in the Tag Manager.

  • Define access

    • inherit – adopts the project settings

    • public – publicly accessible

    • private – accessible only after login

  • Set Searchboost
Influences the ranking of the page in internal search.
    Example:
If two pages have identical tags, a Searchboost of 100 prioritizes one page.

Tips & Tricks
