SEO Settings

Manage basic SEO information for your project and optimize titles and descriptions of individual pages for search engines.

Updated over a week ago

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) influences how the content of your project appears and is discovered in search engines such as Google.

In headful, SEO can be managed on two levels:

  • Project-wide SEO settings in the dashboard

  • SEO information for individual pages in the editor

This allows you to optimize both the entire project and specific pages for search engines.

SEO in the Dashboard

In the dashboard, under the SEO tab, you can configure the basic SEO settings for your project.

Here you can define:

  • Project SEO title

  • Project SEO description

These settings primarily apply to the homepage of your project, as this page is usually the main entry point indexed by search engines.

The information defined here is used when your homepage appears in search engine results.

SEO for Individual Pages

SEO information for individual pages is defined in the page settings within the editor.

See the article β€œPage Settings in the Editor.”

There you can:

  • Edit the page title

  • Define the page description

This description is often used as the snippet displayed in Google search results.

This allows you to control how each page appears in search engines.

System Logic

  • Project-level SEO settings primarily apply to the homepage.

  • SEO information for individual pages is defined in the page settings.

  • Search engines ultimately decide which content is displayed in search results.

The following SEO features will be added in the future:

Alt text for media

  • Use clear and precise page titles.

  • Write descriptive summaries that accurately reflect the page content.

  • Structure your content using a logical heading hierarchy.

  • Avoid frequently changing SEO titles and descriptions, as search engines may take time to update indexed results.
