Recording and Pausing a Visit

Updated over 7 months ago

Recording a patient visit using Health Note Scribe is simple and flexible. Whether you prefer to input patient information first or start recording right away, the platform makes it easy to capture your conversations and manage the recording process.

Starting a Recording

You can begin recording a visit in two ways:

  1. Prep Visit:

    • Select Prep Visit from the menu.

    • Enter the patient's information, including name, EHR ID, date of birth, and preferred language.

    • Click Record Later to save the information, or click Start Visit to immediately start recording

  • If you selected Record Later, then a visit will be created and you can click on it anytime to go to the recording page.

  • Click Start Visit to begin capturing the conversation.

  1. Start Visit:

    • If you're short on time, you can click the Start Visit button to begin recording immediately.

Pausing & Resuming the Recording

If you need to pause the recording during a visit:

  • Click the Pause button, located on the recording screen. This will temporarily stop the scribe from capturing the conversation, allowing you to pause for any reason without losing your progress.

  • Click the Resume button, and the scribe will pick up right where it left off, ensuring the entire conversation is captured accurately.
