Heidi has several default note templates available to all users. However, Pro and Together users have access to unlimited personalised templates!
The default notes include:
SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan): widely utilised in the US and other regions and are favoured for their clear, organised approach to documenting patient care across various healthcare disciplines.
SOAP (Issues): incorporates a Problem List or Issues List into the Assessment and Plan sections, making it more effective for managing patients who present with multiple requests or problems.
H & P (History of Presenting Complaint): first details the patient's current complaint in a chronological manner and then sequentially documents their medical history, examination findings, impression/diagnosis, and management plan.
H & P (Issues): incorporates a Problem List or Issues List into the Impression and Plan sections, making it more effective for managing patients who present with multiple requests or problems.
Heidi offers profession & specialty-specific formats for your clinical notes, such as ADIME for dieticians and IMIST-AMBO for paramedics. Make sure you have selected your right specialty, set you specialty by heading to 'Account' on the left-hand side and updating your 'About you' section.
The difference between voice styles in Heidi allows users to tailor the length and detail of their generated notes to their specific preferences. There are four voice style options available: Brief, Goldilocks, Detailed, and Super Detailed.
Brief produces concise notes, ideal for users who prefer brevity in their documentation.
Detailed, on the other hand, generates more comprehensive notes, suitable for users who require a deeper level of detail in their documentation.
Super Detailed is designed to use many quotes in the clinical note and include even minor details that might be overlooked.
Goldilocks strikes a balance between the voice styles to find the sweet spot that is “just right” delivering concise and detailed notes, which many clinicians prefer.
Brain hemisphere determines the way that Heidi thinks when creating your note or document, which can assist you in achieving an output that sounds just like you. Each option is great for different things, there is no one option better than the other so it’s helpful to experiment and see which mode suits the way you prefer your notes. Set your global setting by navigating to Preferences > Session settings > Note settings and choosing Left or Right. Your selection will be used for all notes and documents you create on Heidi.
Left brain: Fast and unimaginative. Can lack detail. Good for simple visits.
Right brain: Thoughtful, but slow. Can infer meaning. Good for complex visits.
