What Does Admin Access to a Facebook Business Account Mean?

Overview

This article explains the difference between having Full Control (Admin access) to a Facebook Business Manager and simply having access to a Facebook Page.

Why Is This Important?

To complete onboarding or grant permissions, you must have Full Control of the Facebook Business Account that owns the Facebook Page.
Being an Admin of the Facebook Page alone is not enough.

How Do I Know If I’m an Admin of the Meta Business Account?

  1. Go to Meta Business Suite.

  2. Open Business Settings.

  3. Navigate to Users > People.

  4. Check your access level:

    • If your role shows Full Control, you are an Admin of the Meta Business Account.

    • If your role shows Partial Access, you do not have the required permissions and will need to contact the account Admin.

Important Note

Users with Partial Access cannot grant the permissions required to complete the sign-up process.

Below is an example of what you will see in the table.

A user with "partial access" as highlighted in red, will not be able to complete the sign up process.
