This guide explains how to set up Facebook Business Manager so you can advertise on Facebook and Instagram using the Retail Partner Portal.
What Is Facebook Business Manager?
Facebook Business Manager is a tool that helps you manage your business assets—like pages and ad accounts—and control who has access to them. It allows you to give partners access without transferring ownership.
Step 1: Create a Facebook Business Manager Account
Go to business.facebook.com.
Click Create Account.
Enter your business name, your name, and your business email address. Click Next.
Add your business details: address, phone number, and website. Choose whether you're promoting your own business or managing assets for others. Click Submit.
Check your email for a confirmation message and click Confirm Now.
Step 2: Add Your Facebook Business Pages
To connect your Facebook Page:
Open Facebook Business Manager and go to Business Settings.
In the left-hand menu, click Pages under Accounts.
Click the + Add button.
Choose to Add a Page, Request Access to a Page, or Create a New Page.
Enter the page name or URL and click Add Page.
If you're the page admin, it will be added immediately. If not, you'll need approval.
Repeat these steps to add any additional pages.
Step 3: Add Your Instagram Account
To connect Instagram:
Make sure your Instagram account is set to a Business Profile:
Open Instagram on your mobile device.
Go to Settings > Account.
Tap Switch to Professional Account and link it to your Facebook Page.
Ensure your profile is Public.
In Facebook Business Manager, go to Business Settings.
Click Instagram Accounts in the left-hand menu.
Click the + Add button and choose Connect Your Instagram Account.
Enter your Instagram login details and click Log In.
(Optional) Assign ad accounts and pages to the Instagram account.
