Helios offers agri-specific commodity news for all commodities to provide real-time updates on key topics affecting commodities. The News Tab is designed to aggregate and present the most relevant news and updates related to each commodity.

About the News Tab:

  • Drawing from over 15,000 global news sources, this tab ensures users have access to the latest information on trade, supply and demand, pricing, climate events, and broader market trends.

  • We are ingesting and cleaning news data from over 250,000 sources every 15 minutes.

  • Advanced machine learning models are in place to group each piece of news into one of our predetermined categories and to clean articles, remove duplicates and get rid of irrelevant or unnecessary content.

Understanding the News Tab

  • On the home page, news is separated by commodity, and articles are added to the CommodiTrack platform daily.

  • News is sorted into four categories: trade, supply, climate and price.

    • If an article fits into multiple categories, it will show up in both sections.

  • Users are able to search new articles by commodity, topic, and date. Users are also able to share articles externally and bookmark important articles.

  • The most recent news is displayed, including news articles only from the past two weeks. This ensures that users are always informed about the latest developments, whether they are related to geopolitical events, economic shifts, or sudden changes in market conditions.

  • For each page, a preview of the article is shown, along with a photo, the news source, and the date the article was published. To read the article, just click on it.

Filters, sort options, and search

You can narrow the list of articles using several filtering tools:

  • Filter by commodity

  • Filter by topic or category

  • Filter by timeframe

  • Filter by whether the article is bookmarked

A search bar is available when you want to find news related to a specific event, term, or theme. This helps users quickly locate relevant articles without scrolling through the full feed.

Sorting options allow you to organize results in the way that best supports your workflow.
