To avoid errors and get the best results when using Atlas, we recommend starting with a Shopify product rather than a third-party link.

When generating product pages in Atlas, using Shopify as the primary source for your product ensures reliability, especially when dealing with unavailable or unsupported external product links.

Use the Shopify product source method

We strongly recommend importing your product to your Shopify Products first, then using that product as the source when generating your store. This method: Using Shopify allows you to address challenges like unavailable products, such as those restricted in specific regions, by creating a matching product within Shopify and using it as the source.

  • Is faster and more reliable

  • Reduces the chances of generation errors

  • Gives you more control over product titles, images, variants, and pricing- Helps you avoid errors related to unsupported or incomplete external links by ensuring the product source is compatible with Atlas

If you’re using AliExpress, Amazon, or other product links

These sources can work well, but you may run into the following issues:

  • Product-specific problems: Some links simply don’t parse well. Try a different link for the same product.

  • Regional limitations: AliExpress US links tend to work more reliably than non-US versions.

  • High traffic periods: Store generation may slow down or stall temporarily during peak usage hours.

  • Incomplete URLs: Always copy and paste the full product URL, including any variant IDs or parameters.- Regional availability issues: Products may be unavailable for specific regions, such as the USA. Use Shopify to recreate or substitute such products.

Tip: If you’re experiencing issues with external links, try the Shopify product source method first. It’s the most stable and gives you full control over your product setup. For unsupported links, create the product in Shopify, set your Shopify product as the source in Atlas, and use its link for product page generation. This ensures compatibility and reduces errors.
