How to generate product pages with Atlas

Learn how to create high-converting product pages with Atlas, from selecting a project to publishing your page.

Written by Sebastian Ghiorghiu

The Product pages tool creates high-converting product pages tailored to your brand. Use it when you already have a home page you are happy with and just need strong product pages for new or existing products. The flow has three steps, and depending on the template option you choose, Atlas either opens an editor for you to refine your page or publishes it directly to your theme.

In this article:

  • Before you start

  • Step 1: Select your project and add products

  • Step 2: Choose your page template

  • Step 3: Add customer research

  • What happens after setup

  • Editing and publishing your page

Before you start

Launch the tool from the Atlas dashboard in one of two ways: click Create product pages on the Product pages card under Explore Atlas tools, or click + Create new in the top-right corner and select Product pages.

ℹ️ A panel on the right side of every step shows a live Summary of your selections, so you can track your project, products, page template, and customer research as you go.

Step 1: Select your project and add products

First, choose where your new product pages will live and what they will feature.

  • Project selection. Choose a project from the dropdown. Atlas uses the project's existing context to keep copy and styling consistent with your other pages.

  • Import products. Add the product your page will feature. You can paste a page URL or click Browse your Shopify catalog to select from products already in your store.

Pasting a URL works with Amazon, Etsy, Shopify, AliExpress, and any other website. Paste the link and click Add product.

Click Continue setup when your product is added.

Step 2: Choose your page template

This step sets the design and layout of your page, and it determines whether an editor opens later. Set your Store language using the dropdown at the top right, then choose one of two options.

Option 1: Use a product template from your Shopify theme

Atlas pulls the native product templates already saved inside your Shopify theme and uses one as the layout for your new AI page.

  • Select a theme from the Select a theme dropdown.

  • Select a template from the Select a product template dropdown.

With this option, no editor opens. After step 3, Atlas publishes your page directly to your theme.

Option 2: Browse template library

Choose from a library of ready-to-use Atlas page layouts, including influencer-style pages and beginner-friendly designs.

  • Click Browse template library to open the template gallery.

  • Browse using the All templates, Atlas default templates, and Expert templates tabs.

  • Click Preview on any template to see the full layout before deciding.

  • Click Select template on the one you want. You will return to the step 2 screen with your template selected.

With this option, Atlas opens an editor after building so you can refine your page before publishing.

Click Continue setup to move to step 3.

💡 Not sure which to choose? Use a Shopify theme template when you want your product page to match your existing theme layout exactly. Use the template library when you want a proven, conversion-focused design and the ability to fine-tune it in the editor.

Step 3: Add customer research

Customer research is optional but recommended. Atlas uses it to determine your customer persona and product targeting angle, then writes your page copy around that.

Drop a file into the upload area or click browse to select one. Supported formats are TXT, PDF, CSV, and DOCX, up to 20 MB each.

Click Continue setup when you are ready. You can also continue without uploading anything.

What happens after setup

Atlas builds your page on the Analyzing store pages screen, working through importing product data, market research, writing copy, and finalizing. This can take a few minutes, so keep the window open.

What you see next depends on your step 2 choice:

  • If you used a Shopify theme template, you land on a success screen confirming Product page created. Your page has been created and added to your theme. Click Open in Shopify theme editor to view or edit it.

  • If you used the template library, Atlas opens the editor so you can refine your page before publishing.

Editing and publishing your page

If your page opened in the editor, you can adjust it before it goes live. The editor shows your page sections in the left panel, a live preview in the center, and a desktop or mobile view toggle at the top. Edit sections such as product information, scrolling images, comparison tables, and reviews directly in the preview. When you are happy with the result, click Publish pages.

ℹ️ This is the same editor used in the Full store flow. To learn more about editing your pages after they are live, see How to edit your pages after importing.
