After much thought, we've decided to retire AI Product Photos from Atlas on June 1, 2026. Image generation has already been turned off, but if you previously used the tool, you can still access your Saved Images library until June 1 to download anything you'd like to keep.

What's changing
Image generation is no longer available in AI Product Photos. The Product Image Generation, Model Image Generation, Model Scene Generation, and Variant Image Generation tools have been disabled for all users.
On June 1, 2026, AI Product Photos will be removed from Atlas entirely. After that date, the tool will no longer appear in your Atlas dashboard, and any images you haven't downloaded will no longer be accessible.
If you're a new Atlas user, AI Product Photos is no longer available. The feature has already been hidden from new accounts.
Legacy access until June 1, 2026
If you previously used AI Product Photos, you can still access your Saved Images library until June 1, 2026. This gives you time to download anything you want to keep before the feature is fully removed.
You can view, select, download, and delete your saved images. You cannot generate new images, create new models, or use any of the other generation tools. They've all been turned off.
⚠️ Generation is permanently disabled. The only thing you can do in AI Product Photos right now is manage and download your existing library.
How to download your saved images
The most important thing to do before June 1 is download any images you want to keep. Once the feature is removed, your saved images cannot be recovered.
Open the Atlas app from your Shopify admin.
In the sidebar, click AI Product Photos.
Click the Saved Images tab.
Click the checkbox on each image you want to download.
Click Download selected.
The images will download to your device.
⚠️ Images that aren't downloaded before June 1, 2026 will be permanently lost. Back up anything you want to keep well before the deadline.
Recommended alternative: Higgsfield
For future product image generation, we recommend Higgsfield. It's a powerful AI image generation tool that produces high-quality results and offers more capabilities than what AI Product Photos was able to provide.
Higgsfield is an independent service, not part of Atlas. You'll need to create an account directly with them.
