Add an IP to the Blocklist when you want it blocked from accessing your network.
Once listed, HelloHacker informs your other network devices to isolate that IP from the network as a prevention measure.
Add / remove
Open Blocklists.
Click + Add, enter the IP address, save.
Use the trash icon to remove it later.
The Whitelist is your safe list. Any IP on it won’t trigger an alert when it interacts with your HelloHacker honeypots.
Add / remove
Open Whitelists.
Click + Add, enter the IP address.
You can choose between two types of whitelists: Permanent or Temporary. The permanent list never expires, while the temporary list automatically expires after 24 hours.
Optionally, you can specify that the whitelist only apply for particular port(s) of the HelloHacker device. This could come handy if, for example, you have an application scanning the network every day and using only the SMB protocol.
5. Remove entries with the trash icon when they’re no longer needed.
From an alert
When you’re handling an alert, you’ll also see an option to add the triggering IP directly to either the Blocklist or the Whitelist. This makes it quick to block a bad actor or silence a trusted tester without leaving the alert view.
Which one should I use?
Blocklist: for suspicious or malicious IPs you want isolated immediately.
Whitelist: for trusted IPs (e.g., your own testing machines) that might probe the honeypots but shouldn’t generate noise.
