Managing Alerts

Written by Jonathan Bolduc

HelloHacker reports any suspicious or unwanted activity as alerts. You can handle them directly in your portal or from an alert email that is sent immediately when the alert is triggered, whichever is faster for you.

From the dashboard

After signing in, open the Alerts tab in the top bar. Three tabs are available: All, Open, and Closed. Use the search bar and Filters to refine the view. If there are no recent alerts, you will see the message No data. Click an alert to view the details and decide what action to take.

From the email

Each alert is also sent by email. There you will find the type of event that was triggered (for example, “Port scanned”), the date and time, the source IP, the targeted IP, and the targeted port, as well as a Take Action button. Click this button from any email client to open the management page for that alert in your browser.

Once the page is open in your browser, it will display on the right a summary of the alert (event, date, source IP, targeted IP, targeted port). At the top, you can assign a manager. Then choose how to handle the alert. Click Next to confirm the action.
