Furniture Delivery and Build (Vehicle Required)

Use this article when you have a Furniture Delivery and Build (Vehicle Required) job in the Host App. It covers what the job is about, what to bring, what to never skip, and what to do if something is wrong.

Who this is for: Hosts with a handy host credential and a vehicle that can carry furniture.

What is this job about?

You pick up ordered furniture from a store or warehouse, deliver it to a Landing home, and assemble it. The pickup location and the items are in the job description, and Landing shares any extra details through the chat.

You must be able to lift 50 lbs and assemble furniture. This is a critical job, so if you cannot make it, let Landing know as early as you can, because you cannot release it yourself inside 24 hours of the start time.

What do I need before I start?

Before you head out, check you have everything in this table.

Don't skip these

Complete every task in the Host App as instructed, and upload the photos each task asks for. A job is not complete until every task is done. Pay particular attention to these:

  1. "Why You're Here." Confirm the dimensions of the items before you go, so you know they will fit in your vehicle.

  2. "Getting Started - Arrive at Store/Warehouse." When you pick up the order, confirm with Landing that you have every item and upload a photo of them.

  3. "Getting Started - Arrive at Home." Confirm with Landing in the chat before you go in. Landing tells you whether to use the access instructions or meet the member, and if the member is home, call or text them before you drive over.

  4. "Finishing Up - Clean Up!" and "Closing Out - Access Instructions." Break down the cardboard and take all the trash with you. Wait for Landing to approve the job, then lock up if the member is not home and upload a photo of the keys back in place.

What if something is not right?

An item is damaged, missing parts, or will not fit in your vehicle. Let Landing know through the chat before you go further.

You have questions about the assembly. Let Landing know through the chat.

The member is home. Treat the home as theirs and never touch their personal belongings. See Entering into an Occupied Home.
