Install - 3P Mover

Use this article when you have an Install - 3P Mover job in the Host App. It covers what the job is about, what to bring, what you should never skip, and what to do if something is not right.

Who this is for: Hosts working on a moving crew that installs new Landing homes.

What is this job about?

You help install a new Landing home with a moving crew. The crew unloads and assembles the furniture, unpacks and checks every houseware item, stages the furniture to the floor plan, hangs the art and TVs, and takes all the packaging away. The Install Lead runs the crew on site, and the Install Manager supports you remotely.

When you arrive, park where you will not block other residents. If the Install Manager booked a freight elevator, stop at the leasing office for the elevator key first.

What do I need before I start?

Before you head to the property, check you have everything in this table. The times are a guide for each home size.

Don't skip these

Complete every task in the Host App as instructed, and upload the photos each task asks for. A job is not complete until every task is done. Pay particular attention to these:

  1. The "Inspection/Maintenance Issues" tasks. Flag any issue with the home to the Install Lead and the Install Manager, and tell the Install Manager straight away if it is serious.

  2. The "Houseware Inventory" tasks. Unpack every item completely, so nothing damaged or missing is missed, remove all packaging, tags, and stickers, put everything in its place, and submit the inventory form. See Houseware Inventory & Room Location.

  3. "Stage Furniture" and "Art & TV Hanging." Stage the furniture and TVs to the floor plan from your Install Manager, then hang the art and TVs following the guidelines provided. See Mounting and Placing TVs.

  4. "Trash Removal" and "Key Picture." Load all the boxes and packaging back into the truck for disposal, then leave all the keys on the counter and upload a photo.

What if something is not right?

An item will not assemble, or is damaged. Send the Install Manager the details, photos, and the item's SKU as soon as possible, and they will decide whether a new item is needed.

Something on the floor plan is missing, or will not fit. Let the Install Manager know as soon as possible, so you can find a solution together.

You cannot install the in-wall TV cord kit because of the wall structure. Use a cord cover instead, cut to size and fitted at 90 degree angles. For any other structural issue, contact the Install Manager.
