Step 1: Click on Patients in the top right corner.

Step 2: Search for the patient you would like to request a submission from. Alternatively create a new patient record. Learn how to do this here.

Step 3: Click on the patient to open their record.

Step 4: Click Request submission(s).

Step 5: Confirm the request details.

Step 6: This will generate a generic message which can be tailored more specifically and auto populates the patient's first name. You can also select whether you would like this to be sent to another number associated with the patients record if it has been provided in the patient's details. There is also the option to set a reminder for the patient to make a submission.

Note: Patient doesn't have a smart phone or access to a desktop device? No problem, learn how to edit a patient's contact details to send the message to a friend, relative or carer instead.

What happens now?

Below are the steps that a patient takes when receiving this message and shows how easy it is to submit from their perspective.

Step 1: Cover page. The patient receives an SMS message to the provided contact number with a link asking them to make a submission.

Once the patient clicks on the link, they will see a page giving a brief description of what is to follow and where the information they provide is going.

Note: At this stage, the patient also has the option to forward the request to their email address, so that they can complete the submission on a different device.

Step 2: Confirmation of identity & consent. Patient is then asked to confirm their identity by inputting their year of birth.

Patient will then be asked to give consent for the data to be stored on the secure, online database.

Step 3: Request details. The patient is then given further information on what data they have been requested to submit.

Step 4: Guidance on capturing data. When being asked to capture a photo or video, in order to get the best capture possible and for those less familiar with technology, we give some clear and simple guidance.

Step 5: Capture or upload data. Patient's can then choose how they would like to source the data they want to submit. If capturing through Isla, they will receive a prompt message from their device asking them to allow the platform to collaborate with their camera in order to capture the image or video. Alternatively, patients can upload pre-existing data from their device.

Step 7: The patient can then add a note or comment on the submission.

Step 8: The patient has the option to submit more data and receives a thank you message confirming that they have submitted successfully to their patient record.
