The investment account is the gateway to investments on the US stock exchange. To create it you will need:
To be over 18 years old
An official identification document from your country of residence; this applies to the national identification document (DNI) or passport. You must have the physical document at the time of the process.
Your tax identification number.
In addition, in the registration form we will ask you:
Personal data such as: Address, country of residence, date of birth, official identification
Financial information such as: Occupation, income, assets, and source of funds
We will define your Risk Profile through simple questions that will allow us to understand your experience, investment goals, and risk tolerance
With the information ready, you can start the process from the app:
Open the app
Tap the "Open account" button. If for some reason you don't see it, tap "Portfolio" in the bottom left.
Answer each of the questions, accept the agreements, and you're done!
Keep in mind: Your honesty is key in this process: your answers will allow us to adapt your investment experience to your real needs and objectives.
General tips for successfully opening your Vest investment account.
Put your full name exactly as it appears on your identification document.
The residential address must be complete, including the street, number, and details (apartment, house, etc.).
Capture the photograph of your document taking into account these criteria:
Validity: Meaning it must have an expiration date later than the date you are applying for your investment account.
Legibility: All the information on the document must be readable in the photo.
Good condition and original (physical): frame your document well in the photo.
A tip: make sure all four corners of the original document are visible.
Did something go wrong? If your document meets all the requirements, but was still rejected, it may be that the photo of your document is:
Too blurry or dark
Has reflections or glare
Does not show the entire document, as some parts have been cut off or covered with a finger.
Review our tips and try again.
For the selfie, we recommend not wearing glasses, that your ears can be seen, and that there is good lighting.
