Process Update
Starting December 12, 2024, deposits made through Plaid into your investment account will reflect within 4 business days. Plaid uses the ACH (Automated Clearing House) system to transfer funds from your bank account to your Vest investment account. This widely used and secure process typically takes 3 to 4 business days to verify and settle funds. Previously, our main firm, DriveWealth, offered immediate availability for these deposits. However, due to policy changes and to enhance the process's security, deposits will now follow the standard 4-day timeframe to complete.
If you have a bank account in the United States or a multi-currency account, you can use it to transfer to your Vest account through Plaid. Just log into your app and follow these steps:
Go to the “Portfolio” section in the bottom right-hand corner of your application.
Click on “Deposit”.
Select the “Deposit via ACH” option.
Connect your bank account:
Using Plaid:
a) Choose your bank from the list.
b) Enter your bank credentials (username and password).
c) Authorize the connection and select the account you want to deposit from.
Manual process:
a) Click on “Enter data manually”.
b) Provide the Routing Number and Account Number.
c) Check the information before continuing.
5. Enter the amount you wish to deposit.
6. Click on “Continue” and you're done!
Important Notes:
Deposits may take up to 4 business days to complete.
Only deposits from personal accounts of the same ownership will be accepted, meaning accounts in your name only.
DriveWealth has a withdrawal policy that includes a holding period for ACH deposits. This holding period is to ensure the "authorized use" of funds and acts as an anti-money laundering (AML) measure. ACH deposits must remain in your account for at least thirty (30) days after the transaction is processed before they can be withdrawn.
