What Happens If I Violate a Rule of the Trading Parameters?

Written by Hex Funded

Rule violations are taken seriously at Hex Funded. The consequences differ depending on whether the breach occurs during an evaluation or on a funded account.

During an Evaluation

If you violate any trading rule or risk parameter during an evaluation phase, your account will be marked as breached and will no longer be eligible to progress toward funding.

You are welcome to purchase a new evaluation and start again.

On a Funded Account

If a rule is violated on a funded account, the account will be permanently closed and your Trader Agreement will be terminated. There is no reinstatement process for a breached funded account.

Automatic vs. Manual Detection

Not all violations are flagged instantly by the system. Some breaches are identified in real time, while others are only discovered during:

  • Manual reviews following a completed evaluation

  • Payout request reviews

  • Routine risk checks

  • Internal audits carried out by the Risk Team

If a violation is identified during a manual review, you will be notified directly and the appropriate action will be taken at that point. Passing a phase or receiving a funded account does not mean a violation has been cleared - the Risk Team reviews all trading activity thoroughly.

What This Means for You

Trade within the rules, every single day. Violations found after the fact carry the same consequences as those caught in real time.

If you are ever uncertain about whether a specific behaviour, strategy, or setup is permitted, contact our support team before trading it. We would always rather clarify a rule upfront than have to enforce a breach after the fact.
