Improper Trading Practices

Written by Hex Funded

At Hex Funded, our goal is to support traders who demonstrate genuine skill, discipline, and a consistent approach to the markets. To maintain fairness across the platform, all trading activity must reflect your true strategy and typical trading behaviour.

This means traders may not alter their normal trading style simply to satisfy requirements such as minimum trading days or consistency rules.

What Does Improper Trading Look Like?

Improper trading occurs when a trader abandons their usual strategy solely to meet a rule or requirement in an artificial or unrealistic way.

Example:

A trader normally trades around 10 lots per position, generating genuine profits on a $100,000 account.

If that same trader then begins opening 0.01 lot positions purely to mark off additional trading days, this behaviour would be considered improper.

These micro-positions do not reflect real trading, do not demonstrate skill, and do not align with the expectations of a funded trader. Hex Funded evaluates traders on consistency, professionalism, and authentic strategy - not on attempts to bypass rules.

Our Principle: Funding Skilled Traders

Hex Funded is committed to backing traders who:

  • Trade with purpose and discipline

  • Maintain a consistent approach

  • Respect the structure of the program

  • Demonstrate real decision-making and risk management

The purpose of our trading rules is to ensure that traders who reach the funded stage do so through authentic performance, not artificial activity.

What Happens If You Don’t Meet Minimum Trading Days?

Failing to meet the minimum trading day requirement:

  • Is not a breach

  • Does not result in penalties

  • Does not affect your account standing

Instead, our team will simply notify you, and you will begin a new cycle where you can complete the required trading days correctly.

This ensures fairness for all traders and encourages healthy, sustainable trading behaviour.

In Summary

Traders must always trade in a manner that reflects their real strategy. Opening unrealistic micro-positions or manipulating trade behaviour to satisfy rules is not permitted. Hex Funded rewards traders who demonstrate genuine ability - and we expect all trading activity on our platform to reflect that standard.
