Does the reclining couch need to be plugged in?

Yes, reclining seats must be plugged in at all times to operate; you may find success with using a power pack, however.

At the moment, Homebody currently only offers electric reclining options that must be plugged in at all times to operate.

Homebody's reclining seats have hidden wires that provide a streamlined, clean look. Only one cord is needed to be plugged into an outlet to operate.

  • That cord is 5 ft long and has two prongs.

  • Please note that each reclining seat has its' own cord to operate.

Even if you have multiple recliners in a configuration, they must be plugged in independently. We recommend using a surge-protected power strip if you do not have enough outlets.

Using a Power Bank

If your reclining seat does not have an outlet nearby or you choose to float your configuration in your room without floor outlets, you can use a battery power pack. You can purchase a corresponding power pack when checking out your Homebody recliner or reclining couch. Learn to set it up here.
