Does the reclining couch need to be plugged in?

Yes, reclining seats must be plugged in at all times to operate; you may find success with using a power bank, however.

At the moment, Homebody currently only offers electric reclining options that must be plugged in at all times to operate.

Homebody's reclining seats have hidden wires that provide a streamlined, clean look. Only one cord is needed to be plugged into an outlet to operate.

  • That cord is 5 ft long and has two prongs.

  • Please note that each reclining seat has its' own cord to operate.

Even if you have multiple recliners in a configuration, they must be plugged in independently. We recommend using a surge-protected power strip if you do not have enough outlets.

Using a Power Bank

While we cannot guarantee its quality or usage as it is a third-party item, we have received feedback from customers who have used a "power bank" in place of an outlet. Customers have been pleased with the performance if they want their reclining couch or chair in the center of their room but do not have an outlet nearby. Please note that we are not affiliated with this company.
