How to create an event

Once you have logged in to your Horse Monkey account and arrive at your dashboard, click Add Event.

Name the event and select the type of event you want to run.

Add in the dates that the event will run on, and preset when you want the bookings for the event to open and close. Booking dates can be changed later on!

Is the event virtual or affiliated? Don't forget to slide the buttons across for it to show green if applicable.

Finally, add the venue where the event will take place and click Save & Continue.

Customising your event

This will land you on the page to Edit Events, where the icons will walk you through all of the steps to fully customise the event.

By viewing your event in advanced mode, extra functionality icons will be visible. This is all included in the basic version of Horse Monkey!

To begin adding your classes, click on the ‘Groups & Items icon’ and click ‘Add new group’.

Remember, groups are like folders, they give you maximum flexibility when adding classes and running events, as well as making entering even easier for the rider! For example, if you were running both affiliated and unaffiliated classes, you can list the classes under different groups!

To start adding your classes/items into the group, click on the three dots, then click add new item.

To save time, you can duplicate the item you have already added, then change the name!

I have added an article HERE which gives you more information on Groups & Items.

So once you have added all of the groups and items, continue to work through the icons to tailor your event to suit!

NOTE: The only other thing to remember is that you must be connected to Stripe, the online payment provider, before you can Publish your event and start to take bookings.

Click HERE for further help and information on how to successfully make the connection.

And remember, if you have any questions, click on the bell and we will be happy to help you get started!
