If the Velvetiser’s dial flashes yellow, it’s likely one of three things: the whisk hasn’t been inserted, there’s not enough milk in the InnerPod, or the whisk has decoupled. This step-by-step video guide shows examples of the warning light and how to fix it.
First, press the dial down to stop the Velvetiser (if you’re unsure how, you can watch this quick video on how to stop it here), then unplug it from the outlet. Remove the lid and move the whisk back and forth gently. If the whisk still does not rotate, check it for any chocolate residue. If needed, gently clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Always insert the whisk first, then add milk, then follow with Hotel Chocolat drinking chocolate.
