Use an Employment terms history table to review terms across people and effective dates. Each row represents a terms entry, so an individual employee can appear multiple times.
Before you begin
Tables must be available for your organisation to use the Employment terms history table. Your permissions also determine which employment terms and fields you can view or change.
To learn more about these terms, visit Employment terms.
Create a history table
Open Tables.
Click Create new table.
Select Employment terms history.
The table includes employment terms records, with columns for the person, employment type, contract type, work arrangement, place of work, remote address details, and effective date. Terms custom fields can also be included.
Read the location columns
For onsite terms, Place of work contains the organisation location.
For remote terms, the remote city and country identify where the person works. If a remote worker also has an assigned location, it appears in Place of work.
Review and correct records
Use the person and effective date together to identify the entry you want to review.
Editing an existing terms row corrects that entry. To preserve a change over time, add a separate terms entry with a different effective date.
Terms fields and custom fields are editable when your permissions and table access permit it.
Additional people fields, such as employment start date, provide context and filtering in the history table. However, they are not editable in the Employment terms history table.
