How do I create a dialogue video with characters talking?

Remember to include characters in your story and use Full Motion.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

To create a dialogue video, use the Prompt Box (not the Voiceover option). Include character dialogue in your script before generating, then turn on Full Motion to enable lip-sync.

Steps

  1. On the Dashboard, enter your idea or script in the Prompt Box.

  2. If you already know your characters, include their names (or paste dialogue lines). For example:

Captain: We’re running out of supplies.
First Mate: Then we don’t have time to waste.
  3. Add any specific instructions in the prompt, like:

    • “No narrator.”

    • “Only two characters: Captain and First Mate.”

    • “Don’t add new characters.”

  4. Click the green arrow to generate and format your script.

  5. Review the generated script and update character names or dialogue if needed.

  6. Generate your video. When you’re ready for characters to move and talk, enable Full Motion in the editor to add lip-sync.

Tips

  • Keep character names consistent if you are using a screenplay.

  • If you don’t want a narrator, simply don’t include narrator lines (or say “No narrator” if starting from an idea).

  • If characters are included that you don’t want, remove their lines from the script by going to the Change script... prompt box and "remove character x" or start fresh and include more instructions in your initial prompt.

  • Characters will not move or lip-sync until Full Motion is added.
