You can insert a new scene anywhere in your timeline—right where you click—and Hypernatural will create a new scene that starts as a duplicate of the previous scene’s image.
How to insert a new scene
Open your video in the editor.
In the timeline at the bottom (above your scene thumbnails), click anywhere you want the new scene to begin.
Click Insert New Scene.
What happens next: a new scene appears at that point in the timeline, and it duplicates the image from the scene immediately before it—so you can keep the visual consistent while you adjust pacing or add new content.
When to use “Insert a scene”
Add a quick pause for emphasis
Break up a long line into two scenes
Insert a new line of narration without changing the visual (yet)
Create a “hold” moment before a scene change
After you insert the scene
Once the new scene is inserted, you can:
Update the script for the new scene
Keep the duplicated image as-is for continuity
Or change the visuals using Swap, Edit, or Animate with AI (depending on your workflow)
