Control how each scene enters and exits, with speed and motion that fit your story. Transitions are adjusted per scene from the Scene menu → Design → Transitions.
Desktop: edit scene-specific transitions
Open your video in the editor.
Select a scene thumbnail or click within the scene in the timeline to open the Scene menu.
In the Scene menu, go to the Design tab.
Open Transitions. You’ll see two sections: Transition In and Transition Out.
For Transition In (how the scene starts):
Pick a transition.
Set Speed (Slow, Normal, Fast).
If available for that transition, choose a Direction (e.g., left/right/up/down).
For Transition Out (how the scene ends):
Pick a Transition, set Speed, and choose Direction if available.
Preview the scene. Adjust until it feels right, then continue editing.
Mobile: edit scene-specific transitions
Open your video on mobile.
On the scene you want to change, tap the more actions (⋮) menu.
Select Edit transitions. You’ll see two sections: Transition In and Transition Out.
For Transition In (how the scene starts):
Pick a transition.
Set Speed (Slow, Normal, Fast).
If available for that transition, choose a Direction (e.g., left/right/up/down).
For Transition Out (how the scene ends):
Pick a Transition, set Speed, and choose Direction if available.
Preview the scene. Adjust until it feels right, then continue editing.

Edit transitions globally
To edit transitions globally, click the down chevron ⌄ next to the video title, then choose Edit all transitions.
