Overview
With i360 Full Service Text, you can easily create a text action without the hassle of sending it yourself. This service takes care of sending your text to a third party on your behalf. Once the texts have been sent and the order is completed, you will receive a notification. This means you can focus on other tasks while i360 Full Service Text takes care of your text messaging needs.
Getting Started
To begin, you can access the desired option by following these steps:
Locate the left-hand menu on your screen.
Click on the "Field" option in the menu.
From the dropdown menu that appears, select "Text":
The Text page is the place where you can create text actions that you intend to send to a specific audience. To create a text action, you need to navigate to the bottom right of the screen and click on "Create New" followed by "Peer to Peer":
Please create your text action and complete the required fields on the initial page. There are two important tasks to be completed on the first page:
Make sure that you are utilizing MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) texts for this particular action.
When creating dates for the text, it is important to expect about a 24 hour lead time before the text action begins processing. This allows sufficient time for the order to be processed. By allowing this buffer period, you can avoid any potential issues or delays in the processing of the order.
Please assign one volunteer to the text action. A quick and easy tip is to assign your self to these actions (we'll go back through and ensure volunteers are assigned for you after the fact.
At the top of the page, you can select the option that says "Initiate Full Service Text Action". Ensure that the messaging on the informational fly-out applies to you before publishing the text action.
When you click on the "Publish" button, after filling out all of your settings for the text action, it will activate a Full Service Text order. It is important to exercise caution because once you select "Publish," you will not be able to undo the Full Service Text order.
Once you have published the Action, you will receive an email confirming that the order has been received. This email serves as a notification that your request has been successfully submitted. After that, you will receive another email once the order is completed. This email will provide you with the necessary information and updates regarding the status of your order.
Once you have filled out the necessary fields, click "Next: Set Tags & Responses":
Responses
Text messages that get responded to by voters will populate in the response tab. As the client, you are still responsible for responding to those messages despite upgrading the text to Full Service Texting. The client still has the responsibility of managing responses received from the text actions. i360 is only responsible for ensuring the initial delivery of the text send.
Text Registration
To create and publish a text action, users need to be signed up for unregistered texting. If you're not yet registered, you can follow the steps provided in this link to get started with the registration process. This link will guide you through the necessary steps to sign up for unregistered texting. Once you have completed the registration process, you will be able to create and publish your text action.
Timing
The time required for fully completing registration may vary depending on factors such as the amount of text, the timeframe given, and the internal volume of work.
