3D illustrations differ from traditional vector images. They have depth and perspective, making them more complex to edit directly. You can recolor a 3D illustration using its mask file, a transparent image that defines editable areas.

The downloaded zip package includes the original image, mask, and shadow.

How to use a mask file to recolor a 3D illustration

  1. Open the mask file using a photo editing software like Photoshop.

  2. Select the color or effect you want to apply to the masked areas.

  3. Apply the color or effect to the mask.

  4. Combine the masked image with the original image to see the recolored result.

By applying different colors or effects to the mask, you can effectively recolor the corresponding areas of the original image. Always ensure the mask file is aligned correctly with the original image to achieve the desired recoloring effect.
