Introduction
User Details page enables administrators to assign different project roles (with certain project access) to different users.
To access this page: Navigating to Settings, selecting the Project Security tab, and clicking on the User Details sub-tab.
1. Page & Fields Introduction
The fields in the table can be introduced as below:
Name & Last Name: shows the user’s name
Email: shows the user’s email address, which is also the login account
Company: shows the user’s company name
Roles: indicates the specific role name assigned to this user
Last Login: shows the latest date and time when the user logged in
2. Assign a Role to a User
This section introduces steps on assigning a role to a user.
Step 1: Click on ‘+New’ to open the pop-up panel
Step 2: In the first field, type the user’s name / email address to locate the user
Step 3: Click to open the drop-down list to select role.
Step 4: Click on ‘Create’ to finish the role assigning.
NOTE: Multiple roles can be selected and assigned to one person, and in this case the user is assigned with all the role permissions from those roles.
NOTE: If you can't find the available roles in the drop-down list:
They are pre-set and please refer to Manual - Project Roles and Manual - Role Permission for their role name and corresponding access rights.
3. Search / View an Existing Role Assigned to a User
Step 1: Click on the filter icon '' and type in the search bar for the certain name / email / company / roles. Tick to select one or multiple items and click ‘OK’ to apply the filter.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Column Chooser '’ at the right top corner, click and drag a column of Mobile / Alternative Mobile / Alternative Email into the table and view the information.
4. Edit / Delete / Export a Role from a User
Step 1: Tick to select an existing user
Step 2: Click on ‘Edit’ to make any changes to the person’s roles; Click on ‘Delete’ to delete this user with assigned role; Click on ‘Export’ to export all the user’s information listed in this table.
