The Sky setting menu in Tobe Builder Ultimate is currently (as of 2.4x and above) the only menu in Tobe Builder Ultimate that differs from Tobe Builder Pro.
In Tobe Builder Pro, the Sky Box in the normal Universal Render Pipeline (URP) can be used to set a skybox material, and basic lighting settings. However Tobe Builder Pro uses the High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP), which means a physically based procedural sky where users can define the sun angle, cloud density and sun color and intensity.
Sun
The sun settings in HDRP are crucial for defining the primary light source in your scene. Here are the main parameters:
Shadows: This toggle enables or disables shadows cast by the sun, adding depth and realism to the scene.
Filter: Allows selection of different colour filters to modify the sun's appearance, such as softening the edges of shadows.
Preset: Provides predefined configurations for quick setup, making it easier to achieve desired lighting conditions.
Intensity: Controls the brightness of the sun, measured in lux. Higher values result in brighter sunlight, affecting the overall illumination of the scene.
Temperature (Kelvin): Adjusts the color temperature of sunlight, affecting its hue from warm (lower Kelvin) to cool (higher Kelvin).
Sun Position
These settings control the position and movement of the sun allowing the users to accurately position the sun for any point on the planet at a specific point in time each year:
Auto/Manual Toggle: Switches between automatic positioning based on time/date or manual control, giving flexibility in how the sun's position is managed.
Rotation: Manually sets the rotation angle of the sun around its axis, allowing for precise control over the direction of sunlight.
Date/Time/Day Controls: Allows setting specific dates and times to simulate different times of day or seasons, enhancing the dynamic nature of the environment.
Cloud
Cloud settings add another layer of realism to the sky:
Active Toggle: Enables or disables cloud rendering, which can significantly alter the mood and atmosphere of the scene.
Preset: Offers predefined cloud configurations such as "Cloudy", making it easy to quickly change the sky's appearance.
Bloom
Bloom settings enhance bright areas by adding a glow effect around them, simulating how light scatters through lenses. This effect can make the scene appear more vibrant and dynamic.
